Moisture budgets were constructed at 17 locations in the Sudan on a daily basis. The components of the budget consisted of precipitation, evaporation, variations of column content, moisture divergence. The data was retrieved from ECMWF archive. Each component of the atmospheric branch of the hydrologic cycle was computed using vertical integrals and horizontal divergence. The budget did not conserve and a positive quantity was added to keep conservation. This quantity was considered to represent sub-grid un-resolved processes.
